24 years experience, design drafting in the manufacturing/engineering industry designing products for the consumer and industrial markets, plus long term government contracts. Specialising in the design of extruded aluminium, structural and stainless steel, pultruded fibreglass (frp) and injected moulded plastic componentry, plus machine design and factory/warehouse layouts for FMCG companies. Always designing with 'lean'​ and '5S'​ manufacturing principles in mind. Technical writing for safety manuals has also been a major part of my job roles, plus performing training and assessing in accordance with relevant industry competencies. I am experienced with several CAD programs, such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit and SolidWorks. Due to my manufacturing and educational background I am skilled in the use of precision measuring equipment, hand tools and possess very high 'attention to detail.'​ I also have basic competencies in machining and welding. These skills equipped me to have a 'hands on'​ approach to product prototyping and development. I've also enjoyed learning skills in 'industrial' photography.Job satisfaction has always come to me through seeing an innovative idea develop into a manufactured product that the client loves.
