I was part of a three-person research team conducting a pilot investigation of the population genetics of Campanula scouleri in the PNW. My responsibilities included collecting plant tissue from C. scouleri populations across the PNW, isolating and amplifying DNA for sequencing, creating herbarium vouchers, and recording various environmental factors such as plant association, soil characteristics, and canopy cover. Findings of this pilot study were presented at the 2014 Murdock Conference in Vancouver, WA.
