Conducted review of Council’s Community Funding Program.Developed comprehensive Funding Program grant streams and processes to strengthen promotion, accessibility, community engagement and capacity building opportunities and strategic links across Council.Administration of Council’s funding programs, comprising three medium-large grants rounds, ongoing monthly responsive and resident achievements grants, and in 2015/16 designed and delivered a supplementary round of medium-large grants (up to $50,000). In 2015/16 a total of 129 applications processed, with 80 funded to over $410,000 total (97% budget) - an increase of funds disbursed from 2014/15 of over $150,000.Developed integrated email newsletters across multiple Council teams to increase community awareness and access to Council training, venues and funding support.Developed contemporary social media communication including videos and profiles to promote community achievements and raise awareness of grants and awards programs.Strengthened team and department coordination through leading and supporting development of shared department calendar and officer roles & responsibilities

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Managed dynamic team of Cambodian and international staff and consultants to successfully develop demand side practices and procedures for implementation of nationwide Social Accountability Framework (ISAF).Managed relationships with funder (World Bank) and partners in The Royal Government of Cambodia and Non-Government Organisations.Coordinated delivery of concurrent workshops to build capacity of Cambodian NGOs and government on diverse topics including citizen engagement and service monitoring.Conducted range of evaluation to produce best practice learning on citizen engagement activities in Cambodia that have been integrated into future programs. Learning includes: Co-authored World Bank published learning notes on citizen engagement, service monitoring and state - non-state partnerships; Development of case studies on implementation of citizen engagement tools; Development of over twenty project implementation lessons included in project reporting.Coordinating multi-stage field-testing and learning of community monitoring and local government engagement processes as part of ISAF.With partners delivered national forum on citizen-government engagement, including a ‘Development Marketplace’ to share diverse sub-projects learning.Developed & delivered program collateral including reports, budgets and procurement plans.

Managed relationships with 13 sub-grant recipients, total funding over US$970,000. Included negotiating grant agreements, project monitoring and trouble-shooting support, and identifying opportunities to strengthen project outcomes.Delivered grants rounds, including call for proposals, supporting independent grant making bodies, stakeholder management, and program communications.Co-designed of capacity building workshops for sub-grantee staff on topics including results-based management, social accountability tools, and sub-grant implementation requirements.Delivered project newsletters, authoring articles and coordinating partner contributions.Developed internal and external reporting templates and data-collection tools.Oversaw project website communications and content.

Hobart, Australia

Delivered community capacity building, social inclusion, and disaster preparedness projects with diverse CALD communities, many from former refugee background.Designed and facilitated community leadership training and mentoring for 30 members of nine culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities from former refugee backgrounds. Supported CALD communities successfully submit funding applications to deliver community led projects strengthening social inclusion and cohesion in southern Tasmania.Coordinated network of over 70 stakeholders in the Greater Hobart area. The network included agencies from all levels of government, advocacy bodies, and not-for-profits.Supported community leaders during creation of the African Communities Council of Tasmania and the Tasmanian African Youth Association.Coordinated consultations and community engagement with diverse partners including the Australian Human Rights Commission; the Tasmanian Government Social Inclusion Commission; and the Office of Anti-Discrimination Commissioner, Tasmania.Designed and initiated new projects to strengthen inclusion and participation of CALD communities (including the Hobart Peace Festival). Projects secured funding from diverse sources and built partnerships with a range of community, educational and government agencies.
