Stirlings Australia is a global metals distributor of Stainless Steel, Nickel Based Alloys and Titanium products such as pipe, fittings, flanges and plates for the Oil and Gas, Mining, Marine, Engineering and Fabrication industry within Australia, New Zealand and other countries around the world.Duties and experience:  Management of tender proposals, contract supply agreements and order fulfilment.  Undertake and manage inventory procurement from worldwide suppliers and manufacturers.  Purchasing of products for project supply of materials, products and logistics including air and sea freight into Australia, New Zealand, Asia, South Africa and the UAE, in order to meet customer delivery schedules.  Projects include: Stanwell, Austal Ships, BHP, KNR, Minara, Hismelt, Dyno Noble, Alcan Gove. Manage stock inventory (+/-$2.5 million) using “just in time” philosophy.  Assist with the management of inventory stock records in order to reflect customer demand requirements and physical quantities in the warehouse.  Undertake stock take procedures.  Manage and maintain the supplier / manufactures database fir technical information, quality compliance information, trading and supply terms. Undertake assessment of suppliers for appropriate quality standards (domestic and foreign standards). Carry out pre-qualification of suppliers. This also includes overseas travel to France, Dubai, Italy, Germany, Belgium, and United Kingdom.  Work with the Chief Financial Officer to determine appropriate terms of trade, foreign exchange rate hedging for overseas purchase orders – US Dollars, Euros, SGD and GBP.  Manage the sales function for a diverse range of stainless steel products.  Manage team performance against sales budgets and forecasts. Visiting customers Australia wide.  Was awarded the Stirlings Australia 2006 Outstanding Company Service Award.
