• Seconded from New Zealand to work on the provisional liquidation then the liquidation of the Bank of Credit & Commerce HK Ltd• Supervision and day to day running of several bank branches with up to 20 staff• Performance reviews of the Bank’s borrowers to assess debt repayment ability. Liaising with the Loans Division in relation to debt recovery.• Assisting with the management and control of the bank’s liabilities and the payment of dividends to 35,000 depositors owed approximately HKD10 billion (approx. USD1.3b). • Involved in the formulation and implementation of the Scheme of Arrangement resulting in 27,500 creditors who were owed less than HKD100k being fully paid.• Assisting in the repayment of 4,500 larger depositors. This involved working with the depositors to establish Proof of Debt.• Assisting with the implementation of a document archiving systemAchievements include:- Helping distressed depositors to recoup their funds and possessions- Helping bank staff through the difficult bank closure period
