 Works cooperatively and collaboratively with engineers in the engineering project groups to assist test setup and perform product testing. Executes software tests under the direction of software engineers. Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments. Assemble mechanical/hydraulic prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of mechanical/hydraulic principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments. Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions, and record results . Executes and documents tests and procedures to characterize and qualify electronic and mechanical/hydraulic assemblies. Assists manufacturing and production department by transferring development knowledge to production. Assists engineers with sourcing parts. Perform modification of prototypes from schematics and engineers’ instructions. Prepares documentation for the creation and release of parts, e.g., part specifications and PCO submittal. Other applicable duties, as assigned or required.

 Integrate, test, trouble-shoot and repair all FMC/Schilling Robotics ROV systems and developmental projects as assigned by supervisor and engineers. Above and underwater “flight” experience of FMC/Schilling Robotics HD, UHD 2 and UHD 3 Remotely operated vehicles. (Underwater experience within the bounds of integration test pool). Perform “Factory Acceptance Test” per engineering specifications. Controlled operation of dynamic and static hydraulic pressures up to 10,000psi.  Controlled operation of high voltage ranging from 208vac – 6000vac. Set up and operate electrical and hydraulic test equipment to evaluate performance of Production and developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions, and record results.  Cabling, installation and testing of Remotely Operated Vehicle control systems. (Power distribution Unit (480vac primary to 3000-6000vac Secondary), Computer control rack, Operator control stations (2), 9-12 computer and video monitor array).  Constant interaction with customers, engineers, and H.S.E. Product Change Order, Purchase order, Integration and factory acceptance test plans and demobilization procedures. Apply “redline” modifications to engineering drawings and schematics when appropriate. Other applicable duties, as assigned or required.

Load test coordinator Responsibilities:  Coordinate structural load testing schedule for all FMC TECHNOLOGIES/SCHILLING ROBOTICS products that require DNV(Det Norske Veritas) certification.  Operate all equipment in load testing area: hydraulically operated 100,000lb universal testing machine with ~12 dual acting linear hydraulic actuators, 55 ton h-press and 10,000 PSI enerpack.  Use hand tools to assemble all frames and components in preparation for testing. Training load test team members on proper test procedures. Record and process all data from tests to appropriate recipients. Coordinate with engineers concerning test results, design development, procedure update and review.  Assemble all products according to engineering prints and test according to engineering prints.  Obtain stress data with multiple transducers and digital read outs. Maintain inventory and quality of testing fixtures for all products that require DNV certification. NDT Inspector Responsibilities: Inspect all aluminum, duplex stainless steel, titanium, weldments per inspection procedures. Completed over 40hrs of liquid penetrant inspection training per ASNT Standards. Ensure all weldments requiring inspection meet all standards. Coordinate repairs on weldments if they did not pass inspection. Provide engineering with feedback related to structural integrity of weldments. Maintain data log of inspection reports. Maintain inventory of supplies. Maintain ability to MIG and TIG weld. (AC and DC)
