I have spent the last 6 years on my innovation journey. What a ride. I have seen disruption across culture, leadership, building teams and idea generation resulting in a willingness to lean into design and innovation. I believe Innovation is about transforming ideas into tangible thoughts/prototypes. For me, it is all about the ability of taking abstract thoughts into concrete deliverables.My experience includes shaping an innovation practice within CBA’s wealth division, working in CBA’s Innovation Lab in its early days and providing innovation and design consultancy to large listed companies and start-ups.I believe in innovation beyond the buzzwords, breaking it down to discover what it means to you and your organisation/start up. My personal goal is to challenge preconceived views of what innovation is, that inspire action or disruption. Over the past 2 years, I have worked to build an innovative culture at Pickles Ventures, challenging leaders and staff to help Pickles Ventures stay ahead of the curve and asking the difficult question – are we brave enough to disrupt ourselves and generate new insights and add value?A true advocate for Design Thinking, I have a passion for working with curious people who are not constrained by traditional thinking.
