Served as an Outdoor Educator and Logistics Coordinator. Took students backpacking, rock climbing, and white water canoeing. Taught them hard and soft skills ranging from setting up tarps and cooking food to conflict resolution and topics on diversity, equity, inclusion, & belonging (DEIB). Also, supported crews by packing out gear and food, driving 15-passenger vans with a trailer, and providing support around the base camps. Worked in a feedback-driven environment where feedback is constantly given and received to promote constant and consistent growth. Lived in a community where everyone worked together to make the base camps a fun, safe, clean, livable environment. Supported students by managing risk and keeping them both physically and emotionally safe. Participated in many Professional Developments ranging from DEIB and working as a facilitator to risk management and working in a trauma-informed environment.

Part of the management team and functioned as Department Manager for the women’s Apparel section. Opened and closed the store and ran the point of sale. Provided customer service and educational resources to visitors while in a fast-paced stressful environment. Created a variety of programs, made visitor contacts on roves, provided information about the park, and ran a gift shop. Participated in Search & Rescues, trainings, and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion programs. Occasionally functioned as a lead at times when there was none. Learned to work in a fast-paced environment, to provide customer service, to be an integral part of a larger team, and general fine dining service and etiquette.

Provided an outdoor experience for youth and advisors, prepared crews for the backcountry, took crews on trail, trained them, and sent them off on their own. Learned to teach, to enable others to lead, to work with difficult people, to be more confident in my abilities.

Took orders from members, ran food, prepared drinks, bussed/flipped tables, prepped for events, and took to-go orders over the phone. Learned how to work in a chaotic high-stress environment, provided customer service over the phone, and work a Point-of-Sale system.
