During my time in this role, I was a lead resource in the TransGrid lease transaction and subsequent transition activities (February 2015 to May 2016). Key responsibilities during my involvement in the transaction and transition included:• Valuation, financial modelling and forecasting – Co-developed the valuation model for bidders including compiling historical financials, long-term financial forecasts and key drivers of the regulated and non-regulated segments of the business.• Financial due diligence – Provided business insights on historical financial performance, and validation of financial forecasts to ensure accurate reflection of strategic business plan initiatives.• Entity financial close – Managed the preparation of the purchase price completion adjustments.• Legal and compliance implementation – Finance lead working jointly with legal advisors in interpreting transaction and banking legal requirements for implementation into day-to-day operations. • Private placement due diligence - Prepared the financial components of the pitch presentation to private investors including handling subsequent responses to investor queries.Core Role Capabilities:• Strategic Management Reporting – Accountable for the preparation and delivery of monthly financial performance reports, which include surfacing detailed commercial insights to support Executive decision making and strategic planning.• Project and Stakeholder Management – Directed the end-to-end process for the 2016/17 annual budget cycle, involving timeline setting, managing input interdependencies, setting stakeholder expectations, and providing financial expertise advice.• Cost optimisation – Drive on-going investigation of opportunities to optimise expenditure to efficiently deliver TransGrid’s network transmission requirements within regulatory allowances and efficiency schemes.
