Perusing utopia within Print Organisation with the help of PrintVis… The Microsoft Dynamic NAV ERP vertical for the Graphic Arts industry. I am currently working as part of the pre-sales team as an Industry Expert having spent the past 25 years within the Graphics Industry. As a NAV consultant and project Manager I have 5 years’ experience running analysis workshops, design sessions and full development and implementation projects to leading Printing and Print Management organisations.

Ruscombe Litho and Digital Printing are involved in the DM market and compliant with ISO 9001, 18002 and 14002. I was hired to report directly to the Managing Director with responsibility for operations across all departments. Upgrading the Imprint MIS system for job estimation, job bag creation and running production schedules along with the new additions of a digital production board and shop –floor data collection . With the agreement of the MD I introduced and implemented purchasing and supply contracts to bring about cost reductions with companies I have worked with successfully in the past. I also sub-contracted particular pieces of work to other companies so enabling Ruscombe to offer a holistic service where necessary to certain clients. As part of my Operations role I ensured that we communicated with our clients to guarantee customer satisfaction, and chaired production meetings to make certain all schedules/deadlines were in line with client expectations.

Employed as Production Manager in very busy printers dealing within the financial and commercial sectors. I reported directly to the operations director and as production manager control over 40 staff across all departments from pre-press to fulfillment. As part of this role I managed health and safety, staff incentives/assessments and training where necessary. My role required me to organize shifts and holiday cover as well as calculating staff wages. I had to liaise with client services to ensure all the clients needs could be met within a given time scale. The company runs under ISO 9002 standards and operates a ISO 12647-2 colour management system which includes using CIP4 transfer from pre press to all our five 74’s. I also oversaw a busy finishing department using the latest stitchline 350 with various Horizon collators and binders and a digital department, with six DigiMaster E150’s and two NexPress 2100’s. We also ran a bespoke MIS system called the JCS system which we developed with production control and data capture.
