I have over 30 years experience working in in all aspects of Port Operations. I diversified from the operational management environment to that of Health and Safety in April 2015- Duties involve all aspects of health and safety for the Terminal. I have been instrumental in building a new Safety Management System from the ground up. This has included development of all safety related programs and policies. I have established key safety programs for regulatory compliance and safety improvements. I have helped establish an educated, knowledgeable and functioning safety committee with representatives of management and hourly employees. Actively promote accident investigation and root cause analysis. Foster the implementation of corrective actions. Oversee and participate in facility's safety audits. Established ongoing education and training programs to ensure employee knowledge, education & safety. Interface with regulatory agencies as needed.
