Co-founder and Director of Operations within the Digital Accessibility Centre (DAC).My main focus is ensuring that organisations provide accessible platforms for Persons with Disabilities, whether it be internal applications or external facing websites, mobile offerings, games or Digital TV user interfaces. I aim to provide guidance for organisations on the User Experience, and how the overall design impacts disabled users. I have been technically auditing and conducting accessibility reviews and consulting on digital products for 20 years, having worked with organisations in both public and private sector.This currently includes working on accessibility for Lloyds Banking Group and Channel 4 multi platform, a major focus of which was the Paralympics 2012 website and mobile apps to ensure that all users can access.I have had Epilepsy since the age of 13 which is controlled for the last 25 years. This has given me a better insight into the issues that someone may have when dealing with a disability and accessing digital interfaces. It also motivates me to ensure an accessible platform is achieved.I have previously been an invited expert at W3C WCAG Working Group, involved with WCAG Evaluation Methodology Task Force and Mobile Accessibility Task Force, driving the change and new requirements towards WCAG 2.1.
