Led exchange floor trading for Toronto Dominion Options (TDO) in Chicago and New York. The full team in both cities made option markets in over 500 equity products. Responsibilities included identifying risk-adjusted profit opportunities both tactically and strategically, managing risk parameters, liaising with the Bank's Compliance, IT, and Risk departments, and developing innovative new business lines.As part of interacting with the firm's internal software engineers, I managed user side input to development of proprietary trading software. As the option markets continued to evolve at an ever-increasing rate, we worked consistently to build our perception of value into the firm's proprietary trading system.Further, I enjoyed managing the final-stage development and roll out of an electronic, portfolio-based market-making desk. Much of the initial conceptual work had been done prior to my arrival on the desk. I was able to lead the group as it made its initial ventures into actual market-making activities with the rapid, real-world lessons learned as the concept was taken into full production.Finally, I participated actively in business strategy construction and adaptation for TDO as a complete entity, requiring large scale decisions on general strategy as well as developing and allocating resources matched to the firm's efforts.
