I am a Crown Advocate based at the Advocacy Unit with the Crown Prosecution Service .I was previously working in private practice as a defence solicitor. My last defence position was as a Partner at Taylor Haldane Barlex LLP (THB Solicitors) working within the Crime Department.I am an accomplished trial advocate in the Crown Court with a proven track record. I am an experienced trial advocate. I am instructed in a wide variety of cases in the capacity of Solicitor Advocate. I spend the vast majority of my working day in my local Crown Courts. As a Solicitor Advocate within a busy firm that has a high volume of criminal cases I am able to prepare cases and present those cases. I have considerable experience in dealing with all levels of criminal matters ranging from very simple driving offences and general criminal allegations through to very complex frauds and murders. I routinely defend clients charged with offences such as murder, rape, fraud, robbery and other serious violent and sexual offences. I have successfully represented clients before the Court of Appeal.I have acted in the past as a consultant to the BBC for a legal drama and have reviewed a variety of Law Society publications.
