I have always known that I have been the type of person who enjoys investing and working with money. Even as a kid I was like this, buying and selling stocks with my father. I like to save my money until the time is right and I have the best chance to make it back. This is what finance is, the study of money and how it is used and this suits me because it coincides with my interests and compliments my personality well.I always knew that I wanted to go to Auburn, it is in my family. I am currently a fourth generation auburn student. When I originally applied to auburn I was apart of the STEM program because I thought I wanted to be a doctor. After taking an economics class and not enjoying the sciences as I previously had, I changed my mind and realized my true interest was in finance. I also found myself helping my friends that were business majors with their studies as well as my own, which also made me come to the decision to switch to be a finance major. I personally think that my ability to work problems and find the best solution is my most prominent strength. I am able to look at a company and determine if investing in them, either for myself or a client, would be a good idea. I feel that many other people in the finance advisor field are similar in this regard.
