Within Savvi Group we operate several hospitality franchises and as Digital Accounts Administrator I am responsible for the production and maintenance of our monthly financial reporting. We work on a cloud based system with data entry and accounts production and endeavor to optimise the processes through emerging technology wherever it fits out structure. I work closely with the Group Director to provide up-to-date ground level figures and support the group accountant with the year end processes when needed.

My roles main focus was looking after the Xero accounting software making sure all of the bookkeeping tasks are accurate and up to date. This includes managing any of the satellite systems and apps that Kwalee have to improve their bookkeeping process. In addition I had also been involved with the VGTR claims for 2019/20 tax year, completed the month end invoicing processes and researched further software's which can automate and improve Kwalee's financial workflow.

As part of the record-to-report department for Renault Trucks I assisted with routine month end procedures, balance sheet reconciliations and any coding or corrective duties that were required. I carried out several of these duties across broadly across the whole of Renault Trucks while on a select few I would work more in depth with specific depots.

Working within the bookkeeping department I completed all the usual day to day bookkeeping duties. Alongside this, I helped in setting up clients on their transition from desktop based software to new MTD compliant cloud based software. I completed fresh installs, transition from out dated to modern compliant software and offer ongoing support to clients who make the switch. Furthermore I worked directly with clients who require specific tasks to be facilitated within their record keeping process to found software or add-on programs to best suit their individual needs. I streamlined bookkeeping with automated bank feeds, automatic invoice data entry and assisted bank reconciliation for many of my clients whilst working for Torr Waterfield.

Having worked within the Business Services team, I completed several different bookkeeping tasks. Alongside processing purchase and sales invoices, I completed and filed VAT returns, bank reconciliations and set up BACS payments on behalf of MacIntyre’s clients. In addition, I also had the responsibility of working with the Payroll department by working on weekly and monthly payrolls, submitting FPS and EPS’ and providing required reports for the Accounts and Audit departments within the office. Furthermore, I have assisted implementation of cloud accounting software within the office. Being the Subject Matter Expert on this system meant I was given the additional responsibility of training colleagues and clients and helping them with the transition in preparation for quarterly reporting. I have worked with people moving to Xero, Sage One and Quickbooks on site by initial training and further assistance as and when required.

Working on a self managed time table alongside the owner of Smart Price, I would go in to small businesses and sole traders work premises to complete weekly or fortnightly bookkeeping as required. While on site I’d processed all purchase and sales invoices that each client has amounted since my last visit alongside reconciling their bank and answered any questions that the clients may have encountered. Where time allowed, I was able to assist in manual payroll and cash flow forecasting for clients whom required it and general administrative duties as and where necessary.

In my position at Christie Holyland I had been processing small sets of accounts. Tasks such as ledger work, bank reconciliation, accruals and prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation provisions and preparing case files for review. Routine VAT returns and some payroll assistance.Alongside this I have helped with the admin role within the company which focuses on day to day tasks such as filing, binding of accounts, sorting of incoming and outgoing office post and answering and dealing with client calls and queries.

Whilst working at Eclipse my usual day to day duties consisted of raising sales invoices, processing purchase invoices and managing bespoke in house systems such as time recording and project estimation software. I was the only member of the financial team that worked out of the office and such all related questions and queries were fed through me to deal with or pass onto our accounts team at Head Office.

I acquired this temporary position after starting my studies for my AAT level 2. I was entrusted with processing payments and receipts, bank reconciliation, creating and maintenance of fixed asset schedules, prepayments and accruals, director’s accounts, salaries, and dividends, complex reconciliations, corporation and deferred tax. I used several computer software programs including VT Transaction+, VT Final Accounts, BTC Tax Software and Moneysoft for monthly Payroll RTI submissions. I also had some limited experience with Sage Line 50.
