MAJOR PROJECTS:1) I oversaw P&A of 65 wells in 2014 coming in under the $3.25MM budget. 2) I led a team that installed a $750M gas processing plant which met deadlines.REDUCED COSTS:Reducing costs is of paramount importance. I oversaw two projects 1) Initiated the install of tank gauges on sour oil wells saving Newfield Exploration $50K/year in operating cost while making a safe environment for lease operators2) Replaced Electric Gas Processing Plant with a Pneumatic-Driven Plant which eliminated running 6 miles of electrical lines for a new gas processing plant. This saved on capital and operating expenses.PRODUCTION ENGINEER: As a production engineer, while at Newfield Exploration, I:1) Monitored oil and gas production operations and artificial lift and production facilities design 2) Supervised well site consultants on well work/construction projects; worked closely with field personnel on daily operations 3) Created operating expense budgets. Helped put together capital budgets, and capital & operating expense forecasts4) Assisted field personnel and regulatory department to remain in regulatory compliance with items like flaring, SPCC plans, and plug & abandonment obligations5) Negotiated with contract vendors for new equipment, contractors, and suppliers to save money or improve quality of service. TRAINING ROTATION: I spent 9 months in a training rotation to learn aspects of each petroleum engineering discipline. This rotations included: Drilling Engineer, where I was night company man on a spudder drilling rig; Completion Engineer, where I conducted formal pricing requests for frac services, and observed fracturing and clean-out operations; Reservoir Engineer, where I evaluated reserve life and the economics of workover projects; Geologist, where I mapped prospective zones for a potential acquisition.
