I am a junior accounting major at Miami University Farmer School of Business. While studying Accounting, classes at the Farmer School of Business have helped me develop skills in SQL, JMP, python, Microsoft excel, Microsoft access, and other Microsoft office applications. Some classes I have taken that have strengthened my ability to succeed in a business environment are business calculus, microeconomics, macroeconomics, business communications, and entrepreneurship. I have also taken various classes that have strengthened my understanding beyond only business in topics such as anthropology, classical history, Biological and Physical Sciences, and much more.Outside my academic life, I have gained experience in various professional positions. While working as a lifeguard and later as a dockhand, I learned how to efficiently work in high pressure scenarios and fast paced work environments. Also, I expanded my customer service and problem solving skills. I also have experience in a diverse range of leadership positions. While volunteering as a project manager for the Central Ohio Mountain Biking Organization, I planned and directed the construction of a 100 foot long wooden bike path. I raised over $5000, covering the project's cost from a fundraiser I organized. Additionally, I have expanded my leadership skills through involvement in Greek life. In my chapter of Phi Delta Theta, I serve on the executive board as the Sergeant at Arms. As Sergeant at Arms, I act as chairman of the bylaws committee and head of the judicial board.My hometown is Delaware, Ohio. One of my favorite hobbies in my free time is weightlifting. If I'm not studying, you can find me at the gym. I also enjoy working on classic American muscle cars.
