Interface Pacific performed research, development and application of facial recognition technologies, in particular how it is applied to security, access control, and image database integrity.My role involved all oversight of all aspects of the internal operations of the business as well as Project Management of the integration of facial recognition applications into client environments. Clients covered state and federal government law enforcement, and universities.

Elected Managing Directory of the company, I was charged with the running of this small business. My responsibilities also take into scope the day-to-day running of the enterprise.My primary activities included Software Engineering, developing applications using Visual Basic, Visual C++, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, VBA and Java.I was also responsible for training in various areas of software use and development, via a contractual arrangement Mind and Machine had with MacMillan Bird Pty Ltd. Lend Lease Year 2000 Desktop TeamThe Lend Lease Year 2000 Project was a team of approximately 80 employees from both the Lend Lease Corporation and IBM Global Services Australia, with the responsibility of ensuring Year 2000 compliance of all aspects of the Lend Lease Corporation. The Lend Lease Year 2000 Desktop Team focussed on the approximately three thousand PCs and Laptops that were either owned by Lend Lease or managed by IBM GSA.My role in this team took into scope Project Manager, application developer and consultant on desktop issues.My responsibilities as Project Manager included• Strategy recommendations• Planning/organising the rollout of approximately 2000 PCs/Laptops into the Lend Lease Corporation• Mediating with the client• Budgeting• Composing documents such as statements of work, age test plans, and strategy documents.As an Analyst Programmer I developed numerous databases and other applications for both IBM GSA and Lend Lease, the prominent ones of which are listed in the section Software Development History. This role included development using VBA and Visual Basic.My other major role was as a an analyst on numerous issues pertaining to the desktop platform, including the recommended Standard Operating Environment, writing test cases, Year-2000 compliance of relevant desktop applications and suites, and the rating of Year-2000 testing tools.During this project I completed the Rob Thomsett course: “Project Management: Essential Skills”.

WTAAS Year 2000 ProjectThis project had the responsibility of remediating WTAAS (World Trade Advanced Administrative System), which is used internally by IBM to run their business – including the receipt and tracking of orders for software and hardware, stocktaking, billing, etc..My role in this project was as a Software Engineer, test composer (to test code changes and Year-2000 compliance) and tester, on the IBM Mainframe platform.As a Software Engineer I remediated PL/1 code to achieve Year-2000 compliance, using ISPF/TSO, and IMS.
