An entrepreneurial people and thought leader, passionate about business and process improvement, and finding the balance between technology and human behaviour.I started, built and sold Cymple Solutions Inc, an IT Services firm dedicated to assisting our clients in very different industries, to utilize technology in creative ways to improve their businesses. During this time I developed invaluable technical and leadership skills. Working with amazing vendors and partners, I was exposed to many evolving technologies, and this unique opportunity was an incredible experience. I transitioned my entrepreneurial journey to lead the IT Operations function for Wolseley Canada, where I led a team responsible for stabilizing and improving processes and IT Infrastructure services across ~200 physical site locations across Canada.I then joined Norbord Inc, a global market leader manufacturing OSB (Oriented Strand Board) and associated products. Listed on the TSE and NYSE, with a strong financial position. I reported directly to the Head of IT, and my mission was to strategically align IT Infrastructure & Operations with the long term business goals. I built and developed a group of dedicated professionals into a sustainable and empowered team that have the skills and abilities to execute the IT vision. An opportunity arose to join FGF Brands, an innovative food manufacturer that has a high energy culture that is determined to be the "Technology Company that Bakes". In this Senior Leadership role, I had the exciting mandate to bring IT and Manufacturing technologies together to build toward a strategy that enables FGF to support three pillars: Speed, Change and Uncertainty.I was then recruited for an exciting role at Compass Digital Labs - digitally enabling the hospitality and cafe experience within Healthcare, Business and Higher Education, driving toward using data to improve experiences.I then took on a role at Aleafia Health Inc to build and lead the IT function. The role required a unique entrepreneurial and enterprise skill set, and in a brand new industry with new markets emerging constantly, there is significant opportunity to build out technology uses that are groundbreaking.I have proudly joined Prosper Canada, with an important mission to provide resources and support to help Canadians be financially empowered. I am accountable for the Digital Technology and Strategy for our internal and external stakeholders, and enable Prosper Canada with greater technological capability to align with the Organization's direction and goals.
