My primary modality is person-centred, but I also use CBT and TA modalities.I work with all genders, sexualities and relationship types. I am experienced in working with subjects such as depression, anxiety, shame, internalised homophobia, coming out, chem sex, addiction, neurodiversity, low self-esteem, trauma and gender dysphoria.I work remotely with clients from all over the UK. I’m based in Manchester and also volunteer as a therapist with a local LGBTQ+ charity. As a gay man, growing up in the 1980’s with the AIDS epidemic and Section 28 as my backdrop, I have felt the effects of being different in a hetero-normative society. I understand what it feels like to be oppressed and discriminated against and the feelings of shame for just being me.I’ve been in recovery from addiction for over 5 years and therapy has helped transform my life, which is why I am so passionate about helping others make positive changes to their own lives. I’m here to offer you a safe non-judgemental space, where you can be yourself and explore what is impacting you.I offer a free 15-minute introductory session to see if I’m the right fit for you.
