South East Asia And South America

Took a career break in between taking an intercompany transfer from Mammoet Canada to Mammoet Europe. Travelled for three months through each of Southeast Asia and South America, visiting a total of eighteen countries. Greatly increased my political, historical, social and cultural knowledge of these sub-continents.

Project Engineer within Mammoet Canada Western Engineering department, my responsibilities here include (but not limited to);- Conducting project feasibility studies (factory to foundation, transport and lifting)- Performing route surveys, documenting and reporting the findings- Structural analysis of existing inventory- Structural design for new and modifactions to heavy lift and transport solutions (temporary bridges, load spreading, ramps, jacking lugs)- Preparation of dimensional transport drawings (site moves and highway transports)- Preparation of heavy lift plans (crane selection, tandem lifts, rigging, plot plans etc.)- Assisting business development department in the preparation of tender packages (commercial & technical proposals)- Liaising with provincial Ministry of Transport personnel on transport issues pertaining to pavement and bridge loading- Procurement of 3rd party consultants (evaluations & infrastructure upgrades)- Providing loads and design criteria to owners & vendors- Working with clients through commercial and contract documents- Project management for execution, resource management, progress reports, billing and invoicing etc.

This was a part-time position I held while undertaking postgraduate studies at TCD.
