This role included supporting MS Windows, MS Exchange, Active Directory, user administration, MS Office and TCP/IP networking. As the main field engineer I had to carry out desktop and server maintenance on a daily basis as well as advising the client on how to improve their networks/systems. Whilst onsite I quickly gained a lot of hands on experience and soon found myself becoming part of the pre-sales service.

I provided network, server, desktop/laptop support to a large telesales and customer service department. I also had to perform out-of-hours maintenance on the network and I was often sent out to the satellite offices throughout the UK to install and upgrade IT equipment.
