I advise a wide range of clients include trustees and sponsoring employers of defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes as well as public sector clients including third sector, local authority, housing associations, governmental bodies and universities. While I advise on the full range of pension issues arising, since joining Eversheds my breadth of experience in relation to public sector pensions work has grown significantly as has my experience of protected persons in the railways, coal, electricity and energy industries. My recent experience includes advising private sector and public sector clients on the new fair deal guidance on both first and second generation contracts, mid-contract transfers back to the public service pension scheme advising clients on the new public sector schemes and governance requirements under those schemes and advising clients on strategies to exit the LGPS. I speak regularly at industry events.I am a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers.
