My ambition is to help guide the continuing evolution of the research and development community through education, leadership and service.Professional Experience:Dr. Gavin Manes has been working in the field of information assurance, computer security and digital forensics at the Center for Information Security at the University of Tulsa for the past eight years. He has all five federal CNSS/NSTISSI information assurance certifications and has briefed the White House, National Security Council, and the Pentagon.Dr. Manes has mentored and worked closely with the Tulsa Police Department Cyber Crimes Unit since their inception in 2000. He has also worked with several federal, state, and local agencies. These agencies include the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Internal Revenue Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Defense Computer Forensics Lab, and many different Offices of Inspector Generals.In his academic pursuits, Dr. Manes has taught both Introductory and advanced digital forensics and telecommunication security courses for more than six years, and has trained members of industry, government, and students in all aspects of information assurance. Additionally, Dr. Manes is well-published in the fields of digital forensics and information assurance.
