AccountsIQ has been consistently ranked on the Deloitte Fast 50 Index of Irish Tech companies for over 8 years and we're the winner of the 2018 & 2019 Accounting Excellence Award for mid-market accounting product.Established a technology platform that now supports thousands of businesses accessing the platform 24/7 in over 25 countries worldwide.Has overall responsibility within management team for providing technical direction, delivering the product to customers and reporting on technical matters to Board and shareholders. Multi-faceted role leveraging expertise in team leadership & culture setting, technical stragegy, product management, supplier management and customer and partner communications. Oversees Development and QA Teams including off-shore teams that develop the product using agile development methodologies.Ensures that product is continually developed in line with international customer and market demands and follows a defined roadmap. Manages day to day relationships with technology partners and suppliers including hosting provider, integration partners and international software resellers and key clients.With Product Team oversees regular product releases including overseeing testing, user documentation preparation and customer communications. Achieved Microsoft Partner Certification for the company.Led our successful ISO27001 Information Security Management System Accreditation process. Recruits and nurtures the best technical talent to grow our product and business.

I left Farrell Grant Sparks (FGS) with three colleagues in early 2004 to establish Visor Consulting.Visor Consulting specialised in the provision of IT consulting and software development services to the professional services and financial services sector.It was during the time with Visor Consulting that we saw the possibilities for creating a functionally-rich cloud accounting platform and AccountsIQ.com was beta-launched in November 2006 when I assumed role for CTO and Visor Consulting ceased operations.Responsibilities with Visor Consulting included:- Business development and client management- Business Analysis and Requirements Definition for client companies- Liaison with technical staff to ensure clients needs are appropriately met- ICT Planning and Strategy development for client companies- Drafting of proposals and tender documents- Setting and management of project budgets and team membersDuring this period I worked on several large consultancy projects for clients including:- Teagasc- Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO)- Kepak Group- Irish League of Credit Unions
