During this post set up rheumatology, brachial plexus and hand trauma services in the Trust. Senior hand and trauma surgeon in the department 2007-2013.Between 2007-2010 Clinical Director for the Plastic Surgery Unit in Sheffield, spearheading the development of two multi-million pound projects, the multidisciplinary Sheffield Hand Centre and a new Sub-Regional Burns Unit.Worked with the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) in different roles over 14 years as BSSH Council member, Interface Committee in Hand Surgery member, BSSH Hand Diploma Subgroup member and Examiner for the Hand Diploma.Spearheaded research projects into PROMs/PEMs and Wide-Awake Hand Surgery. Directorate Research Lead [2010-2013]. Lead author for seminal paper on Musculoskeletal Abnormalities in Instrumentalist Musicians [PRS 2003] and international speaker on this subject.
