  My team provides Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental support for the Bancon and Leys groups of companies. Bancon Group focuses on land development and housebuilding, commercial construction, as well as off-site production and site-based construction of timber kits. Leys Group encompasses a rural forestry and sporting estate as well as serviced business centres, visitor attractions, and one of the country’s largest biomass heating networks.Within our Group we operate across most CDM roles: Client, Principal Contractor and Principal Designer within Bancon Homes and Bancon Construction. Deeside Timberframe operates as a UK-wide subcontractor from our two factory locations, providing off-site manufacturing of structural components, and site-based crane operations and kit erect.This varied environment (including Design & Build) means our HSQE team is intensely focussed on the application of CDM principles throughout our businesses. We design and deliver internal training to assist in the professional development of our staff, as well as working with company Boards to create and operate risk management and monitoring arrangements. We continue to develop planning processes designed to ensure collaborative working within our supply chain. The focus of these actions is on continually improving our ability to deliver on our Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental goals.We are assisted in the above by our certification to international Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety standards ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001. Our manufacture and supply of timber kits was also recently recertified to the PEFC Timber Chain of Custody program. My team works with each of our companies to develop and implement processes arising from each of the standards, integrating these with our own core HSQE goals and supporting our companies through internal and external audit.
