One of my earliest memories was going to work with my father. He was a civil engineer who was a part owner in a small engineering firm. I remember going out to take soil samples and being knee deep in mud, laughing all the while. I had said to him, “You get paid to play in the mud?! This is so much fun!” So began a love of working with my hands, getting dirty and building something incredible.I started a carpentry apprenticeship when I was 16 years old doing small renovation jobs and building houses. Looking back, playing in the mud was fun when I was a kid, but as an adult it wasn’t quite as I remembered. Over the course of my apprenticeship I ended up working with cranes just about everywhere I went. I soon realized that I actually wanted to be a crane operator and started to work towards that goal. I started by taking professional driving lessons and qualified for my class 1 drivers license. Since then I have received my red seal in mobile crane, worked a number of crane jobs and mentored several new apprentices in the field. I have taken courses towards receiving my NCSO designation to complement my experience as well. In brief, I am a hardworking team player who takes pride in a job well done. I will apply what I have learned in my career to any possible job role. I would be a great addition to any team whether I am following directions or giving them. I love collaborating with others to problem solve and complete work in a timely manner. I promote a safe and friendly work environment and strive to look out for everyone as if they were my family. I am dedicated to learning and building on my skills and look forward to future collaborations.
