Jupiter Hotels is a leading hotel management company run by hospitality specialists and is owned by a joint venture between Thailand-based Singha Estate Public Company Ltd and FICO Group (previously private equity owned - Patron Capital and West Register/RBS). Jupiter Hotels currently operate 27 Mercure branded hotels in the UK under a franchise agreement with Accor, 2 Holiday Inns and 2 unbranded Hotels.Responsible for all operational, debt and transactional (M&A) financial matters including legal, procurement, IT and payroll (1,600 employees) functions at this £100m turnover multi-site business (c. 3,000 keys).

Responsible for all investment/fund tax structuring and management, financial, legal, payroll, HR functions and reported directly to investors. My role encompassed all aspects of internal and external financial reporting across numerous costs centres and tax structuring and execution across the Group in UK and Guernsey.

Responsible at this hedge fund manager for all financial and operational aspects from start-up. This involved recommending new UK onshore structure (LLP/Ltd group), seeking onshore FSA authorisation, recruiting fund service providers (lawyers, prime broker and administrator) and setting up offshore fund structure in Ireland (dealing with fund and listing authorities in Ireland). Successfully launched inaugural FX fund.

The role also included valuation of financial products, capital allocation models and review of incentive fees on both onshore and offshore fund managers.
