My responsibilities include performing custom peptide synthesis, purification of crude peptide material and the development of new and more efficient methodology for peptides containing unusual amino acid modifications.

My most recent research was focused on the design of novel targeted liposomal drug delivery systems for anti-malarial and anti-cancer therapy.

Taught students basic, intermediate and in certain cases, higher level synthetic techniques in an organic chemistry lab, including practical skills and compound characterisation. Trained students in the use of analytical lab equipment and NMR spectroscopy.Joint-supervised lab-based Masters students. Aided students in organic synthesis, vesicle synthesis, fluorescence spectroscopy, epifluorescence microscopy, HPLC, data analysis and writing lab reports.
