Sherf Motion Technologies is a leading firm in Israel that provides services in electrical & electronic engineering, such as: motion devices, servo systems, AC motors drivers, PLC's touch screens, encoders, stepper motor and drivers, control systems.As an engineer, I was working on many different projects providing services to a wide range of customers starting from small startups and finishing with huge corporates and manufacturers, being responsible for the entire development lifecycle: • Designing, prototyping and developing a system.• Selecting suitable equipment, choosing components for the hardware design.• Testing, simulation and calibration.• Deploying the product on the customer end.• Monitoring and bug fixing.Examples of several projects I was working on:• Electric steering system for the autonomous car - selecting appropriate equipment, writing corresponding software, closing a control loop and calibrating the system at the customer end.• Automatic car park - integrating a suitable motor to operate the system using a Beckhoff controller and TwinCAT tools, setting up various communications between the components.• Papercutting movement system - selecting appropriate equipment, writing software in the industrial controller and HMI.Technologies and tools: EtherCAT, TCP/IP, RS485/RS232, Modbus, Modbus TCP ,CANopen, PLC, HMI, FPGA, VHDL, Python and MATLAB.
