Gavriel Strauss is a Spiritual Counselor and Relationship Coach who supports his clients in a somatic oriented process of healing and integration, on a path toward actualizing a more empowered Life Vision and Sacred Purpose. Gavriel works with his clients on meeting personal and ancestral traumas, woundings and daily challenges of life and relationship as sacred opportunities for healing and growth. Gavriel is trained in IFS: Internal Family Systems therapeutic model, and is ordained as a Mashpiah (Spiritual Director/Companion/Mentor) through ALEPH Ordinations Program.Having lived in the mountains of Tsfat for 6 years studying with some of the great modern Kabbalists, Gavriel is steeped in the Jewish mystical tradition. He weaves this knowledge together with progressive spiritual and therapeutic methods to form a comprehensive Jewish model of personal growth and tikkün olam (holistic healing of the world) called: Path of Tikkün.Gavriel is also a passionate teacher of progressive Jewish education and spiritual practice. Gavriel facilitates Jewish ritual online and leads Shabbat and holiday services in Nelson, BC. Gavriel is the founder and director of Evolving Judaism and Path of Tikkün, two organizations committed to the development of Jewish spiritual practice as a means to personal and collective transformation. He was the Director of Youth and Family Programs at Chochmat HaLev in Berkeley, CA. Gavriel is training to be a rabbi, and lives with his wife and two daughters in a Cohousing Village in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
