Financial Controller
Current• Responsible for the preparation, analyzing and monitoring of monthly financial statements.• Review financial transactions, post journal entries and accruals, and reconcile discrepancies.• Create tracking detail systems by building spreadsheets to ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, including month-end and annual closings of each account efficiently. In addition, to having excessive details with supporting documentation in building workflow plans and maintaining supporting schedules by execution of operations between all departments’ circulations, logistics, client accounts reconciliations and variance analysis.• Micromanage, coordinate and allocate workflow to assure proper controls, policies and procedures of accounting meet compliance standards. In addition, collaborate with management to ensure operational and financial reporting efficiencies • Coordinate and work closely with COO and CEO to produce financial packages to external reporting bodies including DOB, Environmental Control Board, DOT, Housing Preservation & Development, FDNY DSNY, DOH and DEP.• Implement policies and assign department heads internal compliance codes to allocate budget plans and sales force to leading commercial, residential and hotel asset management clients vs credit risk client that lead to collection actions.•Managing 12,000 Real Estate clients’ accounts and spearhead collections successfully through persuasive communication, negotiations and compelling evidence for over $4,500,000 in aging current receivables, $400,000 on average collections per week. Turnover rate went from 500 days to standard 60-90 days. (Work effectively with property owners, general managers, developers among the largest and leading NYC Real Estate commercial, hotel and residential corporations.
