The Beaumont is a Vancouver based non-profit that creates an open and supportive environment for a wide variety of local creative professionals. The Beaumont aims to (1) create a community and environment where artists and small business owners can meet, work together, cross pollinate with clients & socialize; (2) bring together artists, artisans, designers and small business owners as a united community to participate in public and private artistic events and opportunities; and (3) advance the public’s knowledge and interest in the Vancouver art scene through participation in events and artistic exhibitions.

-Draft a range of agreements, including for share and asset purchases, corporate reorganizations, manufacturing, distribution, licensing and supply arrangements, strategic relationships (e.g. collaborative research), employment, contractor, and consultant relationships, settlements, and stakeholder interests (e.g. shareholder agreements)-Advise management of public and private companies on corporate governance, compliance, organizational, and regulatory issues, with expertise in start-ups, emerging markets, tech, biotech, and clean-tech-Draft corporate policies, board manual materials, disclosure documents (e.g. circulars, prospectuses, AIFs, news releases, and material change reports)-Coordinate due diligence projects; synthesize input from multiple experts and produce comprehensive and client-friendly summaries and analyses-Recent representative matters: Aurora Cannabis Inc. in its $3.2 billion acquisition of MedReleaf Corp. by way of a plan of arrangement (2018); West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. in its $4 billion acquisition of Norbord Inc. by way of plan of arrangement (2020); and Sernova Corp. $23 million bought deal financing (2021)-Develop industry and regulatory knowledge by publishing bulletins and attending conferences in tech, startups, and emerging markets-Member of Associate Advisory Committee (liaison between firm CEO and associates) and mentor to Summer and Articled Students

-Collaborated with senior management through innovative Action Lab ‘think tank’ to decide on strategic direction of community projects-Liaised with local businesses and other contributors to obtain donations and encourage community engagement-Created and curated content to publish in monthly newsletter, on social media accounts, and on website

-Coordinated the construction and maintenance of the Little Italy Community Garden-Designed marketing material to promote Project Citizenship (an award-winning social change initiative)-Liaised with businesses, contributors and other social connections involved with Project Citizenship and Skills Society
