The Proposal Centre works with small and medium-sized enterprises to create winning proposals in response to requests for proposal and other bid solicitations from the federal, provincial and municipal governments, as well as other public sector institutions. It helps businesses understand the procurement system, find and manage opportunities, and efficiently develop compliant and compelling proposals, while also supporting their other business development writing needs. As a Proposal Consultant and Writer, Gayle assists in the creation of compliant and highly-rated proposal responses to bid solicitations (RFP, RFSA, RFSO, RFQ, RFSQ, etc.) on-time, on-budget, and with the extreme attention to detail and quality that is required for writing, finalizing and submitting successful proposals. Gayle also develops a range of other organizational and business development materials for clients including websites, promotional materials, organizational reviews, annual reports, presentations, training materials and manuals.

Researched and conducted environmental scans to identify new business opportunities for the home care division (nursing, home support, therapy) and Extendicare Assist (consulting and managed homes) division. Used project management skills to coordinate activities to ensure completion of quality documents on time – included determining project team, responsibilities and timelines. Documents prepared include proposals, annual reports, organizational reviews, presentations, policies, etc. Provided writing and editing support to seven District Managers, Business Development Manager and Senior Director of Extendicare Assist.

Managed small business providing expertise in developing and preparing business material, i.e. contract proposals, reports, business plans, presentations, manuals, documentation, etc. Services provided: project management including coordinating all activities in order to ensure completion of tasks according to strict deadlines; communicating and collaborating with various managers and staff in order to collect relevant data, research and information; writing, editing, organizing, proofing and printing of material.Successfully provided services for clients pursuing government contracts, especially in the home health care sector. For example, I assisted a local business grow from a small rural based agency of 40 employees to a well established and recognized agency providing service throughout southwestern Ontario employing over 500 employees.
