Card Room Manager
As the Card Room Manager, I effectively managed a 70 table card room and 300+ employees. Duties consisted of the following:• Established and implemented card room internal controls, policies and procedures, training manuals, and job descriptions in conjunction with the Compliance Officer and Human Resource Department.• Ensured all Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) regulations were met as well as all other federal and state laws and regulations.• Worked with senior executives on annual forecasting and budgeting process.• Created and monitored card room promotions in conjunction with the Marketing Department.• Oversaw the process of recruiting, training, counseling and retaining dealers and supervisors within the card room.• Reviewed work schedules, payroll and performance evaluations for all card room employees. • Handled disputes, complaints, and all other needs of guests and staff in a timely, positive, and professional manner.• Delivered a high level of customer service to all guests and ensured all staff members were doing the same.
