Author, playwright, world-builder, scholar and researcher; I am an intelligent, imaginative thinker with love for the escapism and creativity of writing. I predominantly focus on genre writing in my plays, novels and short fiction: from science-fiction to fantasy, mythos horror to surrealist alternate universes. Yet they are not my only forte. I am also easily able to adapt to the academic standards required for formal pieces and the discursive tone relevant for journalistic writing. My writing objectives are to create works that completely involve and engage the reader, making them feel a part of the worlds I create. In my research-based work, I approach subjects in a balanced manner, considering varied viewpoints and creating concise arguments. Likewise, I enjoy writing stories from multiple perspectives, that allow me to explore each character's psyche in detail.I have worked in the Heritage sector for a number of years now, and have participated in and led projects focusing on staff-led creative expression (through the Historic Entertainment Society); equalities matters (via our LGBT+ Network, Heritage directorate mini-projects and cross-sector collaboration); and intangible cultural heritage (via ICOMOS, UNESCO & HES initiatives). I am adept at discussing and researching these areas, and am focused on championing intersectionality & collaboration.
