When I discovered that investing was not only for wealthy geniuses like Warren Buffet, I was shocked. I was dumbfounded by the simplicity yet effectiveness of investing in index funds. My curiosity ultimately led me to become obsessed with all things personal finance. The more I learned, the more questions I had like: Why weren’t we taught how to manage our money in high school? Why didn’t they tell us the importance of saving for retirement or for a rainy day? Why didn’t we learn about building credit? Why doesn’t everyone know about this? How can we change that? I became passionate about educating and helping others with their finances and this led me to pursue a career in financial planning. Not only do I wish to help families manage their wealth, but I also wish to help those that don’t have any. Growing up in a low-income family, I have experienced the repercussions of not having a financial plan in place. It is for this reason that I am highly motivated to help families of all backgrounds and look forward to being eligible to volunteer for the FPA pro bono program. I have also started my own DJ entertainment company that specializes in weddings which was a great side hustle while I was in school. On my free time you can find me playing basketball, running, cycling, traveling, rescuing cats, or being a plant-based foodie.I love meeting new people so feel free to reach out if you want to talk about personal finance, music, or sports.
