Automated the provisioning and management of data lake buckets and development/production schemas in GCS and BigQuery respectively using Terraform. Designed and implemented a batch ETL pipeline that was automated with Prefect for moving data from a PostgreSql DBMS into a GCS data lake, stored in Parquet file format for better compression, preprocessed in a staging schema in BigQuery, modeled in DBT Cloud, loaded into a production schema in BigQuery, and consumed by high-priority Power BI dashboards. Maintained clean and highly efficient SQL queries leveraging best practices such as CTEs, table partitioning, and clustering for readability and optimization purposes.
