Building an EHS and EM staff focused on the development of written policies and procedures to protect employees and the university. Working with employees to develop training programs that are effective in changing both the culture and work habits as well as preparedness for emergencies. Providing strategic leadership focused on the development and implementation of management systems that provide practical and cost effective results. Establishing KPI’s for the organization that is obtainable, driving a systematic approach to reduce injuries, increase awareness and cultivate a cultural change where safety is desired versus required and where the university is prepared for any catastrophic event to minimize exposure and ensure recovery as efficiently and timely as possible. Managing owner controlled insurance program (OCIP) for 5 year building and development expansion, to ensure the safety of contractors as well as students, facility and staff. Providing a 7 figure cost savings in three years of the five year program.
