Project Director for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-funded (CDC) Testing Makes Us Stronger campaign focused on engaging health department staff, community partners and community stakeholders in increase HIV testing among black gay men in key U.S. cities where the priority population is disproportionately impacted by HIV/AIDS. Currently, manage all aspects of this health communication and marketing project in eight campaign cities. Develop implementation plans and marketing strategies for effectively promoting campaign messaging and actively engaging community partners. Create social marketing strategies and posts for broader campaign promotion and online engagement with the priority population and their personal networks and support systems. Solicit input from community partners on public health programs and issues impacting HIV testing activities in campaign cities and identifying opportunities for effective integration of campaign messaging and collateral supporting frequent testing. Provide recommendations to partners and stakeholders for improving engagement activities increasing HIV testing among the priority population. Complete event reports for pride and community engagement events summarizing campaign activities, community partner HIV testing data, and events highlights, challenges, and recommendations.

Partnership Liaison for the NIAID-funded Be the Generation Bridge (BTG Bridge) Partnership Project providing technical assistance, support and grants management to 28 local and national partners funded to increase community awareness around biomedical HIV prevention research among highly HIV-affected populations in the U.S. Community Engagement Officer for Testing Makes Us Stronger. Develop implementation plans and marketing strategies for effectively promoting campaign messaging and actively engaging community partners. Provide recommendations to partners and stakeholders for improving engagement activities increasing HIV testing among the priority population. Developed, planned, and implemented, training and technical assistance activities including telephone or in-person technical assistance events. Designed and developed client needs assessments, as needed. Prepared and edited reports, TA tools and materials, briefing papers, and other documents as required.

Developed and coordinated the provision of CBA services to health departments and community planning groups through the Center on AIDS & Community Health’s (COACH) CBA Project. Developed technical assistance tools, needs assessments, and other support documents for stakeholders receiving HIV prevention-related CBA services. Conducted needs assessments with U.S. health departments. Coordinated and co-facilitated DEBI and support course training needs assessment calls with health departments and prevention training centers. Communicated needs to project staff and external partners for follow-up. Assisted with training protocols and logistics, and communicated with CDC, FHI 360, project partners, trainers, and participants regarding trainings.

Administered classroom and field-based trainings to 31 interns participating in the TEACH project (Technology Exchange and Capacity Building for Community Health. Provided supervision, managerial and technical support to Project Coordinator Mentors. Maintained collaborative and technical assistance linkages with Executive and Program Directors of eight community-based organizations and 31 Community Health Specialist (CHS) Interns (supervisors and line staff). Provided assistance and oversight on community-level interventions utilizing the YMS/TEACH Model.
