Started up and built e-Dialog’s largest and most profitable regional office. Currently responsible for general management of the New York/Mid-Atlantic region; management a staff in account services, technical services and production. This role includes:● Leadership, planning for, and continued development of the New York office including vendor and partner negotiations.● Overall management of internal client teams responsible for e-mail marketing for companies including Bed Bath & Beyond, GlaxoSmithKline, Bausch & Lomb, Hearst Magazines, Trump Entertainment, and Publishers Clearing House.● Client-facing responsibilities including planning, strategy, legal/compliance issues, tactical implementation such as messaging to mobile phones and social media integration, and general relationship-building.

Responsible for creating expansion strategies, and developing products and partnerships, to enable video and audio streaming of college sports through an Internet-based subscription network. Helped double paid subscriptions.

Served as special projects manager for the CEO. Work ranged from modeling and analytics to warehousing and operating efficiency improvement. Received international management training within Bertelsmann.● Acted as CEO for Zooba.com and transformed it from an external startup to an internal e-mail and newsletter communication platform merged with the on-line organization. Managed staff of over 40 creative, technical and marketing employees. Planned, championed and executed interactive communication strategy that helped increase revenue from e-mail by over 700% in three years.

Established Internet presence, documentation, procedures and structure to enable efficiencies and growth of specialized group tour operations.● Managed a team of travel agents and office staff.● Despite increased competition in a volatile market, drove a 23% sales increase in nine months through reorganization, streamlined operations, retraining sales consultants and launching company Web site.

Established a regional planning, marketing and PR agency, co-owned by public and private stakeholders, to handle strategic planning and consensus-driven marketing among roughly 150 small travel companies and 14 municipalities in Northern Iceland.● Pooled marketing budgets and acted as PR activity lead.● Promoted a series of on- and off-season marketing events in cooperation with museums, musicians, motorsports organizations, ski-resorts and others.● Drove educational training programs and seminars to help small business maximize marketing reach and vertical integration.● Established and executed goals and objectives for a new regional tourism management office, resulting in 300% growth in regional off-season revenue in three years.● Served as a board member of the Iceland Convention and Incentive Bureau.
