G. Bin Zhao is Economist & Director of Policy at Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC); senior economist and head of strategic research at PwC China (2016-2023).Currently, I actively participate in China's think tanks and prestigious business schools, serving as a research fellow at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (Asia’s #1 think tank), the CEIBS Lujiazui International Institute of Finance, and as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai branch of Center for China and Globalization (CCG).I regularly published articles on China's economic and business issues. I serve as a committee member for the China-Europe-America Global Initiative founded by Mr. David Gosset. I am a columnist and contributor for Forbes, South China Morning Post (https://www.scmp.com/author/g-bin-zhao). I also serve as a member of Kellogg Advisory Board (KAB) at the Kellogg Alumni Club of Shanghai. Before joining PwC, I founded a research and consulting firm. During this period, I also held the position of the first China Advisor at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, making substantial contributions to China's membership in the bank. Additionally, I served as a China content consultant for the CFA Institute.My key viewpoints on the Chinese economy have been regularly published or syndicated by both domestic and international mainstream media outlets, including WSJ, and FT, among others. I have been interviewed by China Central Television, and Reuters and frequently invited to speak at influential international and domestic conferences.I hold a MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern and the Schulich School of Business at York. Additionally, I earned a Master's degree in Economics from the School of Business, Economics, and Law at the University of Gothenburg.
