The CTO is an executive role at the national organization for advanced research computing in Canada. Areas of responsibility include oversight for technology planning, acquisitions, services, and reporting across member institutions. The CTO develops and implements national strategy for cyberinfrastructure, in coordination with member sites, regional consortia, and partner agencies.

Management, planning, outreach, scientific development, and leadership for this Core Laboratory. Includes supervision of a multicultural group of staff scientists and systems administrators. Personnel development, planning and advancement. Ongoing interaction with computational scientists and other users from KAUST and the region. Representing KSL in regional and international venues. All aspects of facility and equipment oversight, including procurement, planning, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
