Offering professional instruction and coaching to students attending university and high-school in a large variety of physics, mathematics and programming courses. Each academic term I maintain a considerably large network of students (40-50 weeklies). These are organized in either 1-on-1 private sessions, small (2-3) and large (4+) student classes.Though my student base is primarily at University of Waterloo my services extend far beyond to neighbouring universities (UWO, Queen's, York, TMU, UoT) and colleges (Conestoga, Fanshawe and many others) to which I offer virtual service due to logistic limitations. Responsible for the smooth operation of a first-year physics lab (PHYS 111L) comprising of 19 sections and roughly 450 students. Responsibilities included assigning workload to TAs, directing students with questions, resolving conflicts, creating and managing schedules, setting up labs, hosting open-lab sessions as well as hosting 2 of the 19 lab sections.

Ran the following labs:• PHYS 370L (Winter 2019 / 1 section)• PHYS 270L (Spring 2019 / 1 section)These were bi-weekly, astronomy labs of variable length. Some of the experiments involved typical table-based tasks, while some others, particularly in 370L, required extensive use of the university’s observatory for observing and analyzing distant astronomical sources such as planets, nebulae and clusters of stars. I also marked lab reports and exams.

Researched the feedback of HII regions on dusty clumps. Used BASH (Unix) for obtaining, storing and processing raw data. Reduced data using Starlink’s ORAC-DR pipeline. Identified clumps using SAOImageDS9 and GAIA. Build a complete pipeline for performing photometry and calculating derivative properties. I also trained 2 undergrad students that worked on a related research topic.

Hosted instructing tutorials in the following courses:• PHYS 115 (Fall 2016 / 2 sections, Fall 2017 / 3 sections, Fall 2018 / 3 sections)• SCI 237 (Fall 2016 / 1 section)• PHYS 125 (Winter 2017 / 1 section)• PHYS 122 (Winter 2018 / 1 section)These were weekly 2-hour tutorials within which I taught students proper problem-solving techniques to tackle with potential problems related to the topics being covered concurrently in lecture. I developed several interactive activities to enhance student interest and retention. I also marked assignments and exams.
