Received certification as a Siemens Functional Safety Professional which requires demonstrated knowledge of industrial machinery risk analysis, safety specification and programming, and relevant standards such as ISO13849.

In my role at Veolia, I was able to bring together experience in control systems and process operations. I maintained and improved Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, FactoryTalk SE, and Wonderware applications in greenfield and existing systems. The water treatment application was a fairly new technology that required fully automated, state-based programming to control production sequences, clean in place (CIP), and backwash for which I led specification and process control narrative development. I also lead multiple commercial installation startups and provided operations support through training of plant operators, writing Operation & Maintenance manuals, and troubleshooting automation, electrical, and mechanical problems.

- Proposed original seawater thermal desalination processes with potential for reduced fuel and capital cost requirements and improved reliability. - Demonstrated performance feasibility of a zero CO2 emission plant to simultaneously produce power and salt-free water.- Simulated, evaluated, and optimized plant steady-state operation using C-based programming and ASPEN Plus process modeling software.- Funded by King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, Saudi Arabia, corresponded with 7 international researchers.

- Analyzed test data and verified operational performance of heat exchangers, pumps, and other hardware in stationary fuel cell pilot plant; validated and improved heat exchanger and system-level models based on test data. - Assisted installation of instrumentation during plant commissioning; recommended and delivered P&ID changes to reflect pilot plant instrumentation placement.

- Implemented MATLAB-based hydronic heating and cooling state-space model for design of control schemes which reduce energy demand in buildings.

Applied Pro/Engineer CAD software skills as a product modeler and detailer. Gained knowledge of engineering drawing and standards.
