Makani Science is producing the world's first Continuous Respiration Monitor. The results of this small wireless, wearable monitor are comparable to larger and wired monitors. These novel devices that are reliable during motion can be used for monitoring asthma, COPD, apnea, biofeedback and athletic performance. Since the sensors are so small, they can be used on all patients from premature infants to grown adults. Patients, providers, researchers and industry will have access to new information about hour to hour fluctuations in respiratory function that was previously inaccessible.
