I manage road modernization and reconstruction projects, parking lot reconstruction projects, roadway feasibility studies, and site developments. I direct multiple engineers and planners on the project tasks and directly supervise four engineers.

I taught CE 3500, Transportation Engineering for the Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering Department for a total of 16 semesters. I also advised multiple students on their individual design topic (transportation) for CE 4097, Senior Design.

My early years involved design and analysis. This included signal plans, driveway designs, signal warrant analyses, circulation studies, and traffic data collection. When I returned to Atlanta, I focused mainly on design thus becoming the Traffic Design Manager where I managed intersection, access, and corridor designs and permitting. This included traffic signal designs, private driveway designs, public intersection designs, signing and marking designs, pedestrian safety improvement projects, and bicycle facility designs. I coordinated with the traffic, highway, and site groups. I interacted directly with public and private sector clients. I coordinated with government agencies in order to obtain access and construction permits. I provided ADA compliance guidance to the traffic, highway, and site groups. I performed QA/QC review for the traffic and highway design groups.

I guided passengers on one to fourteen day river trips in the Grand Canyon, Southern Utah, and Southeast Alaska.
