As an environmental policy and creative writing student, I believe in the power of creativity to inspire positive change. Through the power of writing and art, it is possible to make science and policy understandable and engaging to create a brighter future for ourselves, and the next generations. I am constantly seeking ways to use my creative mindset and abilities to educate on important issues facing our world right now.Currently, I am a senior at the University of South Florida, and a student of the Judy Genshaft Honors College, pursuing dual Bachelor's degrees in Environmental Science and English. I aim to effectively utilize creative communication to convey difficult-to-understand scientific information clearly and simply. I am committed to using my knowledge and skills to drive meaningful action towards a more sustainable future.I am an avid reader, writer, and poet. I have published two chapbooks and been featured in several literary magazines; in addition, my work has received numerous keys from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. I aim to have another chapbook published within the next few years, as well.In addition to my academic and creative pursuits, I am the President of the Trans+ Student Union at my university. In this role, I have honed my leadership skills, working to empower and support fellow transgender and non-binary students and creating a more inclusive campus for all. I am also an Iota class member of the Rho Chapter of Alpha Sigma Kappa - Women in Technical Studies.I am excited to connect with like-minded individuals to inspire change and make a lasting impact together!
